Meet Hank!


The winning name was submitted by Jay T. of Battle Ground, Washington, she will receive four free
horsemanship lessons!   Thank you Jay!  

A total of 23 names were submitted.  The Thursday A.R.K. class voted by silent ballot and the winner
was Hank!  

Silver Buckle Youth Equestrian Centers’ miniature horse Lexi foaled Hank the colt at 11:45 PM March
19, 2008.  He weighed 18 pounds 12 ounces and was only 26 inches tall at birth.  Both
Lexi and Hank
are doing well.

Silver Buckle Youth Equestrian Center uses horsemanship to improve the quality of life of young
people by teaching life skills to help them become productive members of society.  

The core program at Silver Buckle provides free horsemanship lessons for at-risk kids (ARK) that are
referred to Silver Buckle through a counselor or social service agency.  To help support the ranch and
free programs Silver Buckle offers paid programs in horsemanship to youth 8-18 and Women.  
Thursday nights the Center raises money through its ranch sorting and cow play program that is open
to the public.  Watch their website too as they will be hosting a number of clinics by top horse trainers
at the Center.  The center, a registered non-profit, has been serving youths since 1977.
