Silver Buckle Youth Equestrian Center is located in Brush Prairie (just outside of Vancouver, WA) where we are blessed to have 40
acres and 10 horses. We are very excited to be offering for 2008 a variety of basic horsemanship classes for paying clientele. There
is a class to fit everyone needs, from age 4 to adults, horse dreamers to advanced riders. If you, or someone you know, would like to
learn more about these classes please have them contact us. These classes will help to provide the finances needed to help us
continue providing classes to at-risk youth (ARK Program) at no charge.
Silver Buckle’s Pony Pre-School - call for available days and times
4 weeks $80.00 Ages 4-7
30-45 minute sessions. Safety awareness on the ground around Miniature horses and basic riding skills are taught. This is a great
physical activity for your young ones to raise confidence, self-esteem and improve small and large motor coordination, listening and
social skills. A parent is required to participate with their pre-schooler.
Silver Buckle’s Homespun Horsemanship - call for available days and times
12 Weeks $400.00 (10% discount if paid in full in advance) Ages 8-16
Earn home school PE hours and Science hours while having a great time with horses. Basic horsemanship skills and horse care
responsibilities and volunteer opportunities are the topics of the 12-week program.
Silver Buckle's Youth Riders - call for available days and times
4 Weeks $140.00
Learn basic horsemanship skills and horse care responsibilities. This is a progressive program from beginning to advance levels.
Silver Buckle's Women’s Beginning Horsemanship - call for available days and times
4 Weeks $140.00
Join other women 30 & 40 somethings and beyond while you realize your life-long dream of getting to spend time with horses. Learn
basic horse behavior, horse care and responsibilities. Work with horses on the ground, lead and groom, and progress to walk and
trot in rhythm with your equine friend. Your beautiful horse will assist in getting some great exercise while de-stressing through the
dreary winter months. Conquer fear and stress, gain confidence, and improve your posture all while spending time “getting dirty” in
the barn and loving on horses.
Silver Buckle's Ranch Sorting - Thursdays 7PM
$25 per person for 3 goes - Register now and pay only $20 for 3 goes
Use basic horsemanship skills to move cattle from one pen to another. For beginning to intermediate skill levels. Bring your own
horse or if you are enrolled in a Silver Buckle class you can use a Silver Buckle horse.
